The minimize button is still here, but it doesn't work, and it's the same in the context menu of the title bar. Well, I can't reproduce it here on my office machine (NT4 sp3), where both button and menu work. Only my home machine (W98) seems affected. Adding a button to my Title bar next to the minimize ?
Using WinShade you can assign commands to your mouse buttons including minimize, maximize, "Rollup/Unroll", "Send to bottom", "Maximize Vertically", and "Keep on top". The "Rollup/Unroll" command is unique to WinShade and allows you to shrink a window such that only the title bar will remain visible.

How to disable x-button in Pocket PC 2002 evb app?
I've just found one way to make it work as desired - but it's a bit convoluted :) [Recipe 2] Launch TP Connect from the Windows Start menu. Click on the 'Connect Now' phone. Click on the Minimize button in Connect's title bar to minimize it to the taskbar. Right-click on the systray icon and select Hide to hide

I am a fool.
Furthermore, I just noticed that the minimize button in the upper right hand corner of the save as/open dialog box is greyed out, as is that same option on the drop down menu from the title bar. All I want is to be able to create a new folder from within the dialog box, but its not so hard to work around... so long

I've used the Office Shortcut Bar (OSB) for 99% of my program organization and launching It also lacks a minimize button, which would come in handy in undocked mode, which is the only way I run it. Otherwise, it's a great program,

re - the OS debate
Why is there no minimize button for the BeOS windows? It's clumsy, if you tend to have a bunch of windows open at once. Is there a way around this or to be able to minimize windows instead of closing them, to get them out of the way? Thanks, -Bilal Double click the title bar... -- "Heaven produces no great works.

Minimize Button Stops Functioning
In Win 95, icon's are pretty much useless (on the start bar) and just cause the system to slow down.. Isn't there any other way? No. A window without an icon can't have the A system modal window *shouldn't* have a minimize button in the first place either, as it stopps ALL windows activity as long as it's open.

It may be better, but it's not simpler. A Macintosh menu bar holds menus for the active application, and it's at the top of the screen. NeXT users will squawk when Rhapsody's close/minimize buttons are like MacOS, but they have no right to. Certainly they do. Just look at the Mac whiners.
